let's end 2014 with a win, jets are missing kane and their top four defensemen...this should be a gimmie but even with those injuries the jets are winning. should be a fun game to watch, hope halak is starting.

in the past this was a game they would lose because they should have won.
Everything isn't perfect but this will be a big win. Halak will no doubt get the start, but this is one of those give me games I would have Johnson in there just to start building some confidence with him.
Cause if hes not the guy you can send in during the sure things.. he needs to go away.

It is hard to complain too much at 24-11-1 (but we'll find a way. HEY-O!).

You hit the nail on the head. It is faceoffs. That is the biggest problem. Losing defensive zone draws is the biggest reason why the PK sucks and the biggest reason why this team is coughing up 3rd period leads.

It is hard to believe that on a team with 7 natural centers (JT, Nielsen, Nelson, Strome, Cizikas, Grabovski, Bailey) plus 3 big, physical wingers (Okposo, Kulemin, Lee), that not one of these otherwise talented hockey players excels in the faceoff circle. We certainly haven't seen some of them even taking draws. If KO and the 5 guys actually playing center ain't getting it done, why not give Grabovski a shot? Or Kulemin? Or Lee? Heck, maybe Bailey is better than earlier in his career. None of them could be much worse than the group has done thus far.

actually if you look at it, over the last few games we've been winning more faceoffs overall - where we keep getting killed is losing critical draws in our own end. It is getting better though.

I'd rather not hear about Halak playing in back to back games. If we cannot trust Johnson in this game he needs to go.

well, being we didn't trust him to start against buffalo, I think he's on his way out unless he looks a lot better in his next game or two. I think the jets will be a tough game though, and would much rather have halak in goal.

Johnson better not start in Vancouver...I get one game a year I can go to. They'd better not do that to me.

I saw that. I thought I read recently it was not looking good with Barroway buying the team? Will be interesting to see what he does with the GM and team payroll.

cap floor team, they will remain.

Still relieved he's not our owner. I want guys with money looking at the team like a toy, rather than investors looking for profits.

I talked to NHL yesterday (nice dude btw) and he said they make no guarantees, they prefer that they stay in Arizona but there is no set clause.

To be fair Poulin did play the night before. Now, I also did not watch that game so I have no clue how he actually "played" besides his stats.

The ARI ball is going to split in half when it comes out and Bettman is going to award them both McDavid AND Eichel
